Another useful diagnostic clue
Does your Samsung charge wirelessly but not through USB-C?
If your particular Galaxy model supports wireless charging,
testing it can provide another useful clue. Wireless charging
bypasses the physical USB-C connection, so the comparison can
help narrow down where a fault may be occurring.
A
Wireless charging works normally
If the battery charges wirelessly but several known-good
cables fail through USB-C, that points attention towards
the wired charging path — including the port, connection
or associated components.
B
Neither wired nor wireless charging works
That broadens the diagnosis. Battery condition, power
management or another internal fault may need to be
considered rather than assuming the USB-C socket alone
is responsible.
C
Your Galaxy doesn't support wireless charging
That's completely normal on many Samsung models.
Wireless charging is only a useful test when the
specific phone was designed to support it.
!
Useful clue, not proof:
successful wireless charging does not by itself prove that
the USB-C port is faulty. The wired charging system still
needs to be properly checked before a replacement part is
fitted.
