Many Galaxy models use AMOLED displays capable of deep blacks, vivid colour and high contrast. Reproducing the original viewing experience requires much more than simply fitting a panel that lights up.

Depending on the model and replacement part, the display can be supplied as an assembly incorporating the OLED panel, touch layer and front-frame components rather than just the cracked outer glass.

Many modern Galaxy phones use fingerprint technology beneath the display. Screen construction and installation therefore matter, because the sensor has to work correctly through the replacement screen.

So why can another repair quote be dramatically cheaper?

What might you actually notice with a cheaper aftermarket screen?
